TOP 20 TRAVEL ESSENTIALS - 11 to 15
Here are the next 5 of our top 20 travel essential list.
Always take medicines in your tote. We make sure we have a wide variety. We usually place them in quart or gallon size
baggies. Here is our list:
Fabric Sheets are wonderful! They keep your clothes smelling fresh. We usually make sure we have several. When we get home from a trip we will place a
couple in the suitcase before we put it away for our next trip.
A warm pair of socks.
It can get chilly on flights – especially international ones. We like to kick off our shoes and put on
socks. Just remember – wear your shoes
to the bathroom.
Sleeping
pills – you will need these for a long flight. If you plan to arrive at your destination in
the morning you will want to sleep on the plane. And remember – don’t go to sleep if you
arrive in the morning. Stay up until
that evening. It will be hard but it
will help get your body clock on their time.
Ibuprofen – or the
pain reliever of your choice. I tend to
get a headache every time I fly.
Allergy/Sinus
Tums /
Stomach medicine
Airborne – this will
help you keep your immune system in tip top shape. We usually start taking them daily a couple
weeks before our trip.
Alka-Seltzer
Eye Drops – the plane
can make your eyes really dry.
Prescription
Medication
Pen – as simple as it sounds you will be glad you have
it. If you need any arrival forms the
airline will typically pass them out on the plane. You will need a pen to complete the forms. We
usually take a pen with black ink.
If you don’t plan to use your smart phone as a camera, then I
would take a camera or something like a GoPro Hero 5. You will always have the memories but
sometimes it is nice to reminisce with photos.
Just remember if you keep your
photos digital and don’t print them – make sure they are backed up a couple
places. We have a portable PASSPORT drive
for all our travel photos. Then we only
print the ones we really want.
