TIPPING ABROAD

Here in the US we are so accustomed to tipping that you might forget that other countries are different.  In fact in many countries it is not customary to tip for certain services.  This is a decent link - just click on your destination for advised gratuity.

They say tipping in Japan can be an insult or confusing.  We like to tip if we receive good service regardless of what is expected.  We just kindly ask prior if it is okay.  Most of the time the recipient is quite happy.
